Let’s be honest: keeping a Krones Contiform running is expensive. Between the maintenance and the parts, the OEM bills can start to feel like a gut punch. We’ve got a better way. We make replacement blow molding heaters that do the exact same job as the brand-name ones, just without that massive price tag. The heat side of things Getting a PET preform to that perfect “glass transition” temperature is a balancing act. You need enough infrared energy to get it ready, but not so much that you scorch the plastic. Our heaters are built to match the wattage and voltage of your Contiform oven exactly. They hit the heat density you need to keep your cycle times fast. Just a heads-up: make sure your wiring and power supply are up to the task. If they can’t handle the current draw, you’re just asking for a premature burnout. The gear inside We use high-purity quartz glass because it lets the IR transmission through without any fuss. Some of these lamps even have special coatings to make sure the heat hits the PET exactly where it needs to. Then there are the connections—usually R7s or Sk15 bases. We make sure the fit is tight. Why? Because a loose connection creates resistance. That leads to overheating, and before you know it, you’re dealing with a failed socket. Putting them to work The best part is that these just slide right into your existing oven frames. You don’t have to move a single bolt or change your machine’s footprint. One thing to keep in mind: when you run these at full tilt, your cooling blowers have to work harder. If your vents are clogged or a bit too small, the oven temperature will creep up. That’s usually when you start seeing uneven heating in your preforms. At the end of the day, it’s all about the physics of heat. We match the spectral output and electrical load of the originals so you can stop overpaying for parts and keep your bottles looking consistent.
