It hits the moisture trapped deep in the surface and forces it to evaporate fast. Basically, if you keep your walls warm enough, water can’t settle. We made these to drop right into your existing ceiling fixtures, which is great. But because they’re tucked away, they can trap heat. You’ve got to make sure there’s enough breathing room in your ceiling void. If it’s too tight in there, the unit will overheat and burn out way sooner than it should. Give it some space to breathe. To handle the steam, we wrap the heating elements in high-purity quartz. It stops the moisture from eating away at the metal. We also tweaked the coating so the heat hits the exact frequency that water molecules hate. The result? A room that feels warm the second you step in and stays dry long after the shower is off. Just a heads-up: these aren’t lightbulbs. Because they’re doing the heavy lifting of actually drying out the room, they pull more power. Before you go crazy and install a whole array of them, just double-check that your circuit breaker can handle the load. You don’t want to flip a switch and plunge the whole house into darkness.
