The Nitty-Gritty (And what to watch out for)
We make these out of high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because rapid heating and cooling is brutal on materials. This glass can handle that “thermal shock” without cracking. We also calibrate the filaments so you get plenty of heat without warping your oven trays. **But a quick heads-up:**check your voltage and wattage before you swap these in. If you put a high-wattage tube into a system that can’t handle the load, you’re going to blow a fuse or fry your wiring. Also, if you’re upgrading to something more powerful, make sure your vents are clear. More heat means more ambient warmth around the housing, and you don’t want that building up.
