How the heat actually works
Inside these units, we use high-wattage quartz elements. These tubes pump out short-wave radiation that cuts right through the air and sinks deep into the skin. It doesn’t matter if there’s a draft or a cold snap; the heat hits you immediately. We’ve dialed up the power density specifically for luxury spots where guests expect to feel cozy the second they walk in.
Dealing with steam and splashes
Water and electricity are a nightmare pairing, especially in a steamy changing room. To keep things safe, we wrapped everything in an IP-rated chassis. The heating elements live inside reinforced quartz glass, and we’ve sealed every single wiring entry point. It’s built to keep the moisture out so you don’t have to worry about short circuits. But here is the catch: when you seal something that tightly to keep water out, the heat can get trapped inside. If you run these at full blast for 24 hours straight, the housing is going to get hot. Just make sure your mounting bracket leaves a bit of breathing room. If the unit can’t breathe, the thermal cutoff will trip and shut everything down.
Getting them installed
We didn’t want you spending all day drilling new holes in your ceiling. These are designed to be drop-in replacements for most standard electric patio heaters, so the mounting footprints should match up just fine. One quick tip on the wiring: give these their own dedicated circuit. Because they pull a lot of power the moment you flip the switch, I really recommend using a soft-start controller. It prevents that initial surge from popping your breakers and ruining your day.
